Maple Queen - Karisa Durfee |
1st alternate Maple Queen, Ashley
Blair & Maple Queen, Karisa Durfee were selected to
represent the Northwest PA Maple Producers for the 2009-2010
season. These two young ladies, assisted by the maple
darlings will attend various events in the upcoming year for
the purpose of promoting Maple Products. |

The 2009-2010 Maple Royalty representing
Northwest Pennsylvania are: Shayln Walberg, Maple Darling;
Karisa Durfee, Maple Queen; Ashley Blair, 1st alternate
Maple Queen; and Emma Nathanson, Maple Darling. |

The Maple Queen contestants enjoyed the
many displays found the the Hurry Hill Maple Museum located
on Fry Rd in Edinboro, PA |

Karisa Durfee presented a persuasive
speech on 100% Pure Pennsylvania Maple Syrup. |

During the Northwest PA Maple Producers
Annual Summer Picnic, judges announced their selection of
the Maple Queen, Alternate, and Maple Darlings. |

Karisa Durfee conducted a "So you think
that you're smarter then a sugarmaker" game. The game
challenged the contestants knowledge of basic sugar-making
skills. |
